Your information

Privacy and
cookies.

This notice explains what information this website uses, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible for this website?

The Mental Health GP is the controller for information collected through this website. If you have a privacy question, please contact us using the details on the Contact us page.

Clinical information and appointments

This website does not ask you to submit clinical information and does not manage patient records or bookings. Appointments, booking information and patient records are managed separately by Total Health West Berkshire. Information you give directly to Total Health is covered by its own privacy arrangements.

Essential website information

The website and its hosting providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver pages securely and reliably, such as an IP address, browser information and request logs. This is used for security, fault diagnosis and operation of the website.

Google Analytics

If you choose “Accept analytics”, Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are visited and how people find and use the website. It may process information about your device, browser, approximate location and activity on the site. We do not send your name, contact details or clinical information to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google describes their default lifetime as up to two years, although browsers may limit this. Analytics does not load until you accept it.

Your cookie choice

You can accept or reject analytics cookies without losing access to the website. Your choice is stored on your device so we can remember it. Select “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Rejecting analytics removes the Google Analytics cookies that this site can access.

Sharing and international processing

If you consent to Analytics, information is processed by Google for the analytics service. Google may process information outside the UK under its applicable data-protection safeguards. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to its use, or withdraw consent. You can contact us about these rights. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
